INTREPID EAGLE (1) was on the speed from the rails draw last start and battled on well to finish second over 6¾f at Donald. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the key runners. EASY JAY (3) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Warrnambool. Couldn't follow that up last time out when third over 6f at Moonee Valley, beaten 4 lengths. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. ROCKABOTTLE (2) is a promising type who scored at his last run before a break four-and-a-half months ago over 6f at Pakenham Synthetic. Has never been out of the placings when resuming from two tries. Harder here but can measure up. SOCIAL CONSCIENCE (6) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at Bairnsdale when he worked home well, beaten 1.5 lengths. Finds a tougher race but a big run is on the cards.
