SAMANGU (4) recorded a strong maiden win over 5½f at Ballarat last time, getting there by 2 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Drawn out a bit but she can go on with it. THE DABBLE EFFECT (7) showed good early speed when resuming last start over this journey at this track before finishing third, beaten 2.75 lengths. Hard to beat in this suitable race. RUNAWAY STATEMENT (8) worked home well and finished third last time over 6f at Ballarat when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 2.25 lengths. Stepping up a level this time but on her best form she is capable of a big performance. BELLALIQUE (6) improved sharply last time out to score by 0.8 lengths over 6f128yards at Geelong three-and-a-half weeks ago. Well placed to feature in the finish again.
