THARGOMINDAH (5) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Less impressive last time out when 13th over 6f at Caulfield, beaten 10 lengths after being prominent at the corner. This doesn't look as hard so she will prove hard to beat. HINATA (10) resumed over 5f at Bairnsdale last start and after showing little early speed closed hard to score by 0.8 lengths. Has to be respected. LACEMAKER (8) turned in a bold run when resuming when she tried to lead throughout but faded and finished fourth, beaten 2.75 lengths at Pakenham. Among the chances.
