West Ham vs Everton tips and predictions: Toffees backed to halt record-breaking London losing run

Sean Dyche, manager of Everton

Planet Sport Bet ambassador Robbie Savage expects Europa League duties to weigh West Ham down as they welcome a troubled Everton side to the London stadium.

West Ham on the back of a European week - have they got the strength in depth to put in a performance against Everton?

Everton 16th in the table but I think they’ll get something out of this against West Ham.

I don’t think they’ll win the game, but I think it’ll end in a 1-1 draw.

Robbie’s Tip: West Ham 1-1 Everton

Team news

West Ham will be without the suspended Emerson for Sunday’s match. Vladimir Coufal is also a doubt due to a muscle injury.

Everton, on the other hand, won’t be able to count on suspended Ashley Young and injured Dele Alli.

Seamus Coleman and Andre Gomes are also doubts.

Key stats

- West Ham have won four of the last six Premier League games against Everton

- Everton have lost more Premier League away games in London than any other club (87)

- West Ham only lost three of their last 14 Premier League home games - against Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester City

Planet Sport’s other bets to consider

An Everton fan goes to see a psychiatrist. No, this is not the start of a bad joke. Instead, it’s a peak into the future if things don’t start improving for the Toffees.

It seems like every couple of days, the Merseyside club is hit with a punch from a different direction. From poor league form to the death of their chairman. From a stalled takeover deal to a possible points deduction. It’s just endless.

Could this weekend mark a turnaround for Everton? They should fancy their chances.

West Ham were poor in their defeat to Olympiacos on Thursday and the travel across the continent is unlikely to make them any sharper for Sunday’s game.

On the other hand, Everton just can’t seem to find much consistency. An impressive 3-1 win over Brentford last month, was followed up by a defeat to Luton. Then a 3-0 thrashing of Bournemouth was followed up by another defeat to Liverpool.

With the Irons seemingly knackered and Everton lacking consistency, our recommendation is to back the draw. Backing 1-1 in the correct score market, both teams to score or even the draw in the outright market should offer solid value.

Correct score – 1-1

Both teams to score

Match outcome - draw
