The wait is finally over as Bundesliga returns this Friday as Werder Bremen will take on Bayern Munich in the opening game at Weserstadion.

Bundesliga betting tips

Bet: First Bayern scorer: Harry Kane

Key stats

Bayern Munich have won four of the last five matches between themselves and Werder Bremen.
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in the last three games between Werder Bremen and Bayern.
Both teams started with defeats in the first competitive game of the season, with Bayern losing 3-0 to RB Leipzig and Werder being eliminated from the DFB-Pokal.
Harry Kane is expected to make his Bundesliga debut at Weserstadion on Friday night.

Werder Bremen vs Bayern Munich betting preview

Werder Bremen escaped relegation last season and will aim for the top half of the table this season. They can focus on the league after being eliminated from the Cup.
They finished 13th last season but having put together a much more competitive-looking squad this summer, Ole Werner will be expected to go well.
The Bavarians finally managed to sign Harry Kane, but they lost the German Supercup final against Leipzig.
It was a humiliating 3-0 defeat for Tuchel's side and the German champions are likely to add more quality before the transfer window closes.
New boy Kim Min-Jae could replace the shaky Dayot Upamecano alongside Matthijs de Ligt at the back, while Kingsley Coman may be in line to replace either Serge Gnabry or Leroy Sane.
Werder were able to secure a number of high-profile signings this summer, including Naby Keita, who arrived as a free agent from Liverpool.
The 28-year-old midfielder is, unfortunately, out with an injury sustained in pre-season and is expected to return in September.
Two other notable signings include Senne Lynen, who joined from Union SG, and striker Dawid Kownacki, who was purchased from Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Ole Werner's side suffered a shock DFB-Pokal defeat at the hands of Victoria Koln last weekend, losing 3-2 as Marvin Ducksch and Niclas Fullkrug scored.
It's also been a frustrating week in Munich. After long negotiations with Tottenham, the Bavarians finally managed to sign Kane for over €100 million.
They fell behind in just the 3rd minute of the German Super Cup and allowed the visitors to double their advantage just before halftime, thanks to two goals from Dani Olmo.
Tuchel made a number of changes at halftime, but Bayern's performance did not improve and Olmo completed his hat-trick with a penalty in the 68th minute.
It's rare that we see Bayern embarrassed in their own backyard and it's bound to have left a sour taste in their mouth, so we expect them to be in a vengeful mood.
They won 2-1 here last season and battered Bremen 6-1 in the reverse. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Kane start and lead this new side to victory at Weserstadion.
