Bournemouth v Fulham: Predictions, tips and bet builder as Cottagers knock on Europe’s door

It’s been 13 years since Fulham last competed on the continent but their long wait for international away days could be about to end.

The Cottagers entered the weekend eighth in the standings, five points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea, four points adrift of sixth-placed Man City and just three points adrift of seventh-placed Fulham.

With seven games of the season remaining, Marco Silva’s men will certainly fancy their chances of getting a Europa Conference League spot at the very least. 

European football is something that Bournemouth flirted with just a couple of months ago. The Cherries proudly sat on the periphery of the top four, until a six-match winless run saw them skid down the standings.

One of the reasons why Fulham are competing so high up the Premier League standings has to do with their ability to get results away from home.

While the Cottagers have lost their last two games on the road – against Brighton and Arsenal – Silva’s men were previously on a five-match away winning run. In fact, before their recent hiccup, Fulham lost just one of their 11 games on the road.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, are struggling both home and away at this moment. Their sole win in eight games came against Wolves in the FA Cup and the Cherries haven’t tasted a home Premier League victory since January.

With Fulham coming into this game on the back of a sensational 3-2 victory over champions in-waiting Liverpool, we’re siding with the visitors in the outright market.

For all of Bournemouth’s recent problems, scoring goals clearly isn’t one of them.
