Roma vs Juventus tips and predictions: Goals in short supply at Stadio Olimpico

Nicolo Fagioli of Juventus

Roma and Juventus will meet in round 35 of the Serie A season on Sunday (1945 BST) in a game that could have major implications for the Champions League race.

Roma need to bounce back quickly from their midweek defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League as they play host to Juventus in Serie A.

The game at Stadio Olimpico could seriously complicate the fight for the UCL spots for both sides depending on how Bologna and Atalanta fare.

Both sides drew their last game as the Bianconeri failed to break down AC Milan in a 0-0 draw, while Roma salvaged a late 2-2 away to Napoli.

Just six points separate the two sides before kick-off with Bologna wedged in between them in fourth, two behind Juve and four ahead of Roma.

Juventus are on course for a top-four finish and managed to qualify to the Coppa Italia final recently, but in Serie A they've scored just three goals in five matches.

The last head-to-head game between the two teams took place at the end of last year, on December 30th. In round 18 of Serie A, the Bianconeri managed a 1-0 win thanks to a goal scored by Rabiot.

Last season Roma managed to win the home against Juventus, 1-0 after a goal scored by Mancini.  It was Roma’s only win in the last seven games against Juventus.
