PSG vs Brest tips and predictions: Overachieving Les Pirates to test Parisians in French Cup clash

PSG and Brest are enjoying a good run of form as both sides are undefeated in their previous 10 matches. 

The Parisians are on course to secure another Ligue 1 title as they hold an eight-point lead over second-placed team Nice.

PSG have enjoyed an easy route to this stage of the French Cup. They routed Revel 9-0 with four goals from Kylian Mbappe. They then won 4-1 at Orleans, with Mbappe scoring two more.

In the 2020/2021 season, Paris Saint-Germain secured their 14th Coupe de France title, marking their most recent triumph in the competition.

 

 

Even though a trip to Paris looks like a tough test, Brest are more than capable of springing a surprise.

They held second-place side Nice to a 0-0 draw last time out as they continue to exceed expectations in Ligue 1.

They currently sit third in the league table, a position that will allow them to play in the Champions League next season.

Brest beat Angers 1-0 and Trelissac 2-1 to reach this stage of the competition, but their most impressive recent result was a 2-2 draw with PSG at Parc des Princes.

They were able to overturn a 2-0 half-time deficit in that much and should be full of confidence here knowing that they can match the hosts.
