Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town: FA Cup predictions, tips and bet builder as Forest look to end winless run

Chris Wood scores for Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest look to halt their three game winless run when they host Premier League strugglers Ipswich at the City Ground in the FA Cup on Monday night (1930 GMT).

Nuno Espirito Santo's Nottingham Forest have had an excellent season so far, but they are currently having a blip as they are without a win in three games.

However, an FA Cup tie against fellow Premier League side Ipswich could be just what the doctor ordered, with Kieran McKenna likely to ring the changes due to their ongoing relegation battle.

Ipswich have given things a good go this season and have had some memorable days, but lets face it... with the financial incentive of survival at stake elsewhere, the FA Cup will be lower on their list of priorities.

Our predictions for the final FA Cup clash of the fifth round can be found below.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

Nottingham Forest to win

A three game winless spell has put the brakes on what has been an excellent season for Forest, but the run has seen them play against Arsenal and fellow European challengers Newcastle and Fulham.

This game could be what Forest need, some brief respite amongst a tough run of fixtures, and it offers Nuno's troops the chance to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals for just the second time since 1996.

Ipswich have beaten the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham this season, so they could spring a shock but we can't see it as Forest have been strong at home this season, with their last home defeat coming back in November.

Forest to win is the only outcome that we can see happening in this FA Cup clash.

Chris Wood to score in 90 mins

Chris Wood has been a key component of Forest's success this season, the Kiwi striker has scored 18 goals in the league this season, his best tally in a top flight season.

While Nuno has rested players in the cup this season, we think he'll see this as a perfect opportunity to progress and given the sides left in the competition, there'll be a sense that Forest can reach Wembley should they get through this test.

We think Wood will play and we won't be surprised if the New Zealand international continued his fine form in front of goal.

Over 2.5 goals

Bar the goalless draw last time out, Forest's games have involved goals, with six of their last seven games producing over 2.5 goals.

It's the same for the Tractor Boys, with the newly promoted side's fixtures also producing over 2.5 goals in six of their last seven games.

Over 2.5 goals looks to be a worthwhile bet in this FA Cup clash.

Over 10.5 match corners

The way Forest play with their pacy wingers and crosses into the box for Wood, we can see there being plenty of corners in this game.

Both Forest and Ipswich have averaged over 10.5 corners in their Premier League games this season, so we think this is a good addition to your bet builder.
