What has been said?
Javi Gracia after the 1-0 defeat at Chelsea: "I'm frustrated and disappointed with the result. But after watching the attitude my players had, I can only say I'm proud of them. Of course we have to improve many things.
"Big problem is not creating chances and after that, of course, improving the effectiveness to finish better, and be more clinical. But if we analyse the game the opponent had two or three clear chances, some from set-pieces - they scored one and we were not able to score."
Roberto de Zerbi after the 4-0 win over West Ham: "The second half was fantastic, very good the first half, but the perfection is not like this. I think we can improve, but we are in the right way.
"I am enjoying working with these players, because they have the same passion as me to improve and work. I think we can achieve our target because we are strong and serious."
Verdict
Leeds fans wanted rid of Jesse Marsch and were hoping for someone to arrive and wave a magic wand over a team that have struggled to score goals.
Andrea Radrizzani swapped an American for a Spaniard in Javi Gracia, but Leeds have managed just one goal in three games. That was in the 1-0 home win over Southampton, which was a crucial win, but not a performance to inspire too much confidence.
The Whites were probably better in defeat to Fulham, where once again their profligate nature cost them a place in the FA Cup.
Gracia has been working on finishing this week and when asked who was the best player in training Gracia said it was "a secret". Whether he will spring a surprise in attack at Elland Road remains to be seen, but Leeds need a cutting edge and he may go with two up front against Brighton.
Leeds' problems in essence are that they have found wanting in both boxes this season and that is not easy to correct.
Brighton will arrive in West Yorkshire in good form. They smashed West Ham last time out and have won five of their 11 away games and that is reflected in their price at Leeds.
They are even money to sink Leeds into deeper relegation trouble and a Brighton win looks the obvious selection. Teams have struggled to work out Robert De Zerbi's men this season. No doubt next season will be harder for De Zerbi, but at the moment his 4-2-3-1 formation is proving hard to stop.
Brighton generally dominate possession - they have averaged 60% possession away from home. They have averaged two goals away from home too and have generally been flat-track bullies on the road.
They did win at Arsenal in the EFL Cup and Man Utd on the opening day of the season, but they have rolled over the likes of Wolves, Southampton, Everton and West Ham since. And Leeds certainly fit into the bracket of those teams.
They do, however, concede goals on their travels and have not kept an away clean sheet since August. That will give the hosts hope, but with the likes of Kaoru Mitoma, Alexis Mac Allister, Pascal Gross, Solly March and Evan Ferguson in their XI, they will just have more goalscorers on the pitch - and combined with their possession, they should get the better of Gracia's men.
