Derby vs Peterborough: Both teams to score

Bristol Rovers to beat Wycombe

Bolton -1.5 Asian handicap

Leeds -1.5 Asian handicap

Hull to beat Sheffield Wednesday

Derby County vs Peterborough United

There’s been little to separate Derby and Peterborough this season, with the promotion challengers in third and fourth on 46 points.

County have scored and conceded in four of five at home, as have Posh on their travels. The visitors scored in all but one of their 15 away league games.

Wycombe Wanderers vs Bristol Rovers

Wycombe are winless in 12 and look likely to be pulled into a relegation battle. Their transition from well, transition football to possession under Bloomfield will take time.

They’ve also been dealing with a mountain of injuries. Bristol Rovers have threatened a push for the playoffs and Matt Taylor seems to be the final piece of the jigsaw.

Bolton Wanderers vs Burton Albion

Since suffering back-to-back defeats against Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers, Bolton have bounced back by winning their last three. They’ll expect to make that four on New Year’s Day.

There’s little value in the win market, but Burton have registered just seven goals on their travels and have conceded at least two in every loss. We’ll chance the -1.5 Asian handicap.

Leeds United vs Birmingham City

This could be the wrong place, the wrong time for Birmingham. Leeds have won one of four but their home form hasn’t relented. Across their last nine, they’ve outscored teams 23-7.

Wayne Rooney has to find a way to fix the defence. The Blues have shipped 15 in six away from home. They’ve also lost eight of their last 10 and failed to score in half of those games.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Hull City

The Owls have shown plenty of spirit in recent weeks, but surely there’s only so many times you can get out of jail with late goals. They’re also battling a growing injury list.

Hull are a streaky team that tends to follow one result with another after breaking a losing streak. They’ve dominated the last four meetings and must win games like this if they’re targeting the play-offs.
