Verdict
Vincent Kompany was clear in his post-match interview at the Riverside on Friday evening. There'll be no pats on the back, and certainly no champagne, until his side secure the league title.
Burnley achieved promotion in record-breaking fashion by becoming the first side to escape the Championship with seven games remaining.
The Clarets will certainly secure the title with four more wins. That would leave them on 99 points and two clear of the total Sheffield United could achieve.
If one of those wins were against Paul Heckingbottom's Blades, then Burnley could wrap the title up at Reading next time out, should Sheffield United lose again.
Sheffield United would have hoped to have made more of their dominance against Wigan on Friday, but a 1-0 win was enough to move eight points clear of third place.
The job is far from done for them but that a gap of that size at this stage of the season suggests it is only a matter of time, so it's fair to expect both teams to play with a degree of freedom at Turf Moor.
Burnley are such a meticulous machine under Vincent Kompany that you'd expect them to remember the 5-2 drubbing Sheffield United gave them earlier in the season.
That result remains the highlight of the Blades' season to date and it should fill them with confidence that they can compete with the league leaders.
No side has produced more shots per game than Sheffield United so far this season, while Burnley are the top home goalscorers by a comfortable margin with 43. Burnley have managed two or more goals in 13 of their 20 home games.
Despite their own attacking exploits, 15 of the 33 goals Sheffield United have conceded have come against top six sides.
