Morecambe FC land knockout sponsorship deal as Tyson Fury links-up with his local club
Two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has agreed a commercial deal with League One club, Morecambe FC.
Fury, who resides in the town, will sponsor the home and away playing shorts for the 2022/23 season.
Morecambe were promoted to League One in 2021 after winning the League Two play-off final against Newport County at Wembley.
In their first ever season in the third division, the club managed to avoid relegation as they finished 19th.
The side will now be boosted by the most famous resident of the northern town. Fury will have his Gypsy King brand feature on playing shorts, with a further announcement still to come.
Head of Commercial Martin Thomas said: "We have a great relationship with Tyson and are proud to wear his Gypsy King brand on the first-team shorts for the forthcoming campaign.
