Tottenham goalkeeper returns to Serie A as club prepare to announce replacement
Pierluigi Gollini has returned to parent club Atalanta after his season-long loan at Tottenham officially came to an end.
The Italian shot stopper made just 10 appearances for Spurs as he spent much of the campaign as a back-up to French international Hugo Lloris.
Tottenham, who had an obligation to make the deal permanent if the keeper met certain criteria during his loan, said in a statement: "We can confirm the departure of Pierluigi Gollini following the conclusion of his loan spell from Atalanta.

We wish Pierluigi and all the Academy players who are leaving us the very best for the future.
Spurs have already lined-up a replacement in the form of Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
Last week, the 34-year-old was at Tottenham's training ground to undergo a medical ahead of the proposed move.
With Fraser's contract at Southampton coming to an end this summer, Tottenham will get the player on a free transfer.
Spurs boss Antonio Conte is expected to have a busy summer as he looks to transform his side into a trophy chasing machine.
