Robbie Savage Champions League predictions: Man United frustration, Arsenal comfortable

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag

The Premier League weekend provided plenty of drama, though all the attention now turns to the European stage as the battle for continental glory resumes.

Galatasaray vs Man Utd (Wednesday 5.45pm GMT)

Manchester United got three [goals] against Copenhagen in a 4-3 defeat. I think they’ve got the capabilities to score away from home against Galatasaray. I think it’s a huge huge game.

It’s a game for me they’ve got to win because the next game is Bayern Munich at home - the last game in the group. So they have to go there [Turkey] and get something.

I think they will. I think I saw enough at the weekend in the 3-0 win at Everton, especially in the attacking areas, to think they can get a goal.

The atmosphere is going to be unbelievable. I just think that they’re going to have to get something. I think they will.

I’m going with them to score in their fourth attempt at Galatasaray in a 1-1 draw.

Arsenal vs Lens (Wednesday 8pm GMT)

Arsenal haven’t beaten Lens in the Champions League in three attempts. But I think home advantage will count. They lost against Lens in France.

I think Arsenal will win this one with a 2-0 scoreline.
