Report: Man Utd could offload declining midfielder Casemiro

Casemiro

After a turbulent summer for Manchester United, the potential departure of star midfielder Casemiro has emerged as a key storyline.

Following a disappointing performance in their 3-0 defeat to Liverpool - where Casemiro was held responsible for the first two goals and substituted at half-time - the Brazilian's future has become a topic of intense speculation.

United's squad overhaul has already seen the exits of Scott McTominay, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Mason Greenwood.

New signings have arrived, including Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, Manuel Ugarte, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui.

After these additions, questions linger about Casemiro's place in the team, particularly given his recent declining performances.

Adding to the intrigue, Galatasaray have made a late offer for the midfielder as the Turkish transfer window approaches its close on September 13.

The offer includes the possibility of a season-long loan, though Casemiro's hefty salary of £350,000 per week presents a significant hurdle.

Casemiro's contract with Manchester United is set to run until June 2026, with an option for an additional year, making any potential departure more complex.

Galatasaray, who have been linked with several Premier League players this summer, are reportedly keen to secure the Brazilian's services before the deadline.
