Real Madrid to rely on Joselu Mato as main striker for next La Liga season
Real Madrid are set to place their faith in Joselu Mato as the sole natural number nine for the upcoming season, as per the latest reports from the Spanish capital by Marca.
Real Madrid's upcoming season will reportedly feature only one natural number nine, namely Spanish international Joselu Mato.
The latest reports from the Spanish capital, as stated by Marca, confirm that Los Blancos have no intentions of bolstering their attacking options and will rely on their current squad.
The club's strategy is to patiently await Kylian Mbappe's availability as a free agent, rather than splurge on an expensive forward this summer. While they haven't completely ruled out other possibilities, it seems Real Madrid are not actively planning for the arrivals of Mbappe or Harry Kane.
With Joselu in their ranks, Los Blancos will also have Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Brahim Diaz, and Fede Valverde, bringing the total count of attacking options to five.
The Madrid daily expects Rodrygo to challenge Joselu for the central role throughout the season.
It is remarkable how club president Florentino Perez has transformed his approach. It is now conceivable that Real Madrid may begin the season without a star-studded striker.
Nevertheless, if Real Madrid were indeed considering a forward signing before the transfer window closes, downplaying their need for one would be a shrewd move.
⚪ Joselu podría ser el último...
