RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo linked with Bayern Munich move
Dani Olmo has reportedly been hoping to depart Bundesliga side RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window.
Following an impressive Euro 2024 campaign with Spain, interest from top European clubs have surged, with Bayern Munich among the suitors.
Bayern view Olmo as a backup option, should their pursuit of Xavi Simons and Desire Doue fall through. Nonetheless, Olmo has expressed his intent to leave Leipzig, stating his openness to joining Bayern or another club.
In an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca, Olmo shared his thoughts on the situation: "My advisors, who are dealing with this, already know what I want to do. I don't know if I will stay in Germany; we will see.
"I want to be in a place where I am appreciated and loved, and what I want to do is win. There are several options; we will see what happens."
Olmo previously spent his formative years at Barcelona's academy from 2007 to 2014 before moving to Dinamo Zagreb. Now, Barcelona have reportedly shown renewed interest in re-signing the versatile forward, competing with Bayern Munich for his signature.
Bayern could face a potential setback with Paris Saint-Germain's late interest in Desire Doue. This development could force Bayern to act swiftly to secure Olmo's transfer.
His €60 million release clause is valid until July 20, giving Bayern a narrow window to finalize the deal if PSG succeed in signing Doue.
Olmo's priority remains clear: to find a club where he feels valued and can continue to achieve success. With Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the mix, the next chapter of Olmo's career promises to be a significant one.
