Paris Saint-Germain pursue Tottenham's Harry Kane in bold transfer move - report

Harry Kane of Tottenham 11 Mar 2023

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has emerged as the "top priority" signing for incoming Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique this summer.

Harry Kane, the Tottenham striker, has emerged as the "top priority" signing for incoming Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique this summer.
Reports indicate that the French club are prepared to tempt Tottenham with a swap proposal in their pursuit of the talented forward.
Kane's future has once again become the centre of attention during the summer transfer window, though only Bayern Munich have displayed concrete interest in securing a deal thus far. The Bundesliga giants have submitted two bids, the initial £56 million bid being rejected by club chairman Daniel Levy, followed by a £68 million offer.
According to PSG Community, a French outlet, the Parisian side has now entered the race to sign the prolific 29-year-old striker. Both manager Enrique and owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi have prioritized securing a prominent striker and are eager to finalize a deal for Kane expeditiously.
Al-Khelaifi has reportedly engaged in discussions with Kane's representatives, with the club prepared to offer the forward a lucrative five-year contract worth approximately £260,000 per week. Furthermore, Kane's brother and agent, Charlie, have already held talks with Al-Khelaifi in the vibrant French capital.
Kane's current deal with Tottenham is set to expire in a year, and Levy has made it abundantly clear that he will not sell to another Premier League club following interest from Manchester United. PSG are said to be willing to sweeten the deal by offering a player in return, with midfielder Fabian Ruiz potentially being part of the package.
Tottenham's new coach, Ange Postecoglou, is actively seeking to strengthen the midfield, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg potentially joining Atletico Madrid. Ruiz, who scored three goals in 37 appearances across all competitions for PSG last season after joining from Napoli, could be an appealing addition.
Meanwhile, PSG are also in pursuit of another world-class forward, as they contemplate the potential departure of Kylian Mbappe, who has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid. Reports from L'Equipe suggest that several players have expressed grievances to Khelaifi regarding Mbappe's conduct this summer and his uncertain future at the club.
Allegedly sharing in the player's frustrations, Al-Khelaifi has set a deadline of July 31 for Mbappe to decide whether he will stay at PSG or seek a new adventure elsewhere. Numerous clubs have shown interest in the French international, with recent speculation suggesting that Arsenal may be preparing a bid for the pacey attacker.
The forthcoming meeting this week between Postecoglou and Kane at the club's training ground will determine whether the influential striker can be persuaded to remain at Tottenham or if a new chapter awaits him elsewhere.
