Manchester United news: Erik ten Hag reveals why new signing Tyrell Malacia suits Red Devils

Tyrell Malacia became the first signing of Erik ten Hag’s managerial reign at Manchester United.
The 22-year-old was unveiled on Tuesday after completing his £13million move from Eredivisie giants Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Malacia and Ten Hag are no strangers, considering the former Ajax boss came up against the defender on a number of occasions.
During his time in the Netherlands, Malacia gained a reputation as a dynamic player who is capable of contributing in attack as well as defence.
The left-back produced five assists last season as he helped his former side to the Europa Conference League final - one which ultimately ended in defeat against Jose Mourinho's AS Roma.
Nevertheless, Ten Hag broke his silence over the signing and explained why the youngster suits his style.

In an exclusive interview with MUTV, he said: "I think he's the modern left-back or full-back.
"He suits the profile [we were looking for] and most important from every full-back is that he closes the right area.
"He can also take part in the offensive side of our game, and he can do that really well. I think he will really contribute to the team."
Malacia is part of the Manchester United squad which begins the 2022 pre-season tour against Premier League rivals Liverpool in Bangkok, Thailand.
The match takes place on Tuesday, July 12.
