Luka Modric looks set to extend Real Madrid stay

Recent developments mark a shift from the club's earlier stance of uncertainty, with discussions now progressing positively, particularly in Modric's case.

Just days ago, Modric's agent, Vladica 'Vlado' Lemic, hinted at ambiguity regarding the midfielder's future with Real Madrid. However, recent conversations have led to a change in stance. 

Speaking to Arab outlet Kooora, Lemic now anticipates Modric's contract extension with the Madrid outfit. "It is most likely that he will stay for another year and continue to make history," Lemic asserts.

"The Real Madrid is the world's best club and is led by the greatest president in football history. 

"Luka Modric is a true Madridista who loves the club and considers it his home," emphasizes Lemic, highlighting the player's desire to prolong his association with Real Madrid.

Despite transitioning from his previous role as an undisputed starter, Modric has adapted to his new position this season without being relegated to a mere squad player. 

Having appeared in 43 matches thus far, he celebrated his 25th title with the La Liga triumph and stands poised to potentially clinch his sixth Champions League title on June 1, when they face Borussia Dortmund.
