Liverpool v Bournemouth predictions: Free 78/1 bet builder, tips, odds and preview

Cody Gakpo of Liverpool

Liverpool travel to Bournemouth looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table, but we are expecting a tough trip to the south coast is on the cards this Saturday, February 1.

As expected Liverpool boss Arne Slot wisely rested a good chunk of the first team squad against PSV and gave the kids a run out.

So with a few more rest days in their legs, the trip to Bournemouth, only two full days after leaving Eindhoven, shouldn't be as energy zapping a task for the champions elect.

However, Bournemouth are on a 12-game unbeaten streak in all competitions and are not to be taken lightly. especially as Liverpool are winless in three of their previous four away games. Will the Cherries be able to take a bite out of Liverpool's title march?

We've put together several interesting tips that could net you a tidy profit and even more if you combine them in a 78/1 bet builder.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

Match result - draw

Liverpool clearly have the upper hand in this encounter when it comes to head-to-heads.

They’ve won 11 of the last 12 matches with Bournemouth including the 3-0 win at Anfield earlier in the season, as well as some big slappings - the 9-0 in August 2022 will be one Cherries fans will want to quickly forget.

But this Bournemouth side under Andoni Iraola is a very different beast. We thought the match Forest last weekend would be tight, but the Cherries turned them over.

We are not expecting that this Saturday, but Bournemouth are capable of getting a draw and extending their 12-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.

Liverpool are not as red hot away from home. As stated earlier they are winless in three of their previous four on the road, and have drawn against tougher opposition such as Forest, Newcastle and Arsenal.

BTTS - yes

Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem for either side this season.

Liverpool have scored in their last 18 Premier League games and both teams to score has landed in five of Liverpool’s most recent away games. Meanwhile Bournemouth have netted in six consecutive games across all competitions.

However, be warned, Bournemouth are pretty handy at slamming the door on away teams. They’ve kept a clean sheet in four of their last five home games, granted their opposition didn’t have the attacking clout of Liverpool.

Only West Ham have managed to score against them in that time period, although that was from the penalty spot.

Liverpool should have enough in the tank to keep their impressive scoring run going, they’ve netted 17 goals in their last five away league trips.

Over 2.5 goals

With both sides in such rich scoring form, it would be a big surprise if this game ended goalless.

Liverpool have scored two or more goals in nine of their 11 Premier League away games, Bournemouth in four of the last five.

Over 1.5 goals seems like a safe bet, but the braver among you looking to boost the odds could be tempted to take over 2.5 goals.

Over 2.5 goals have been scored in five of Bournemouth's last six matches, while three of Liverpool's last five fixtures have seen at least three goals.

Pick your poison.

Cody Gakpo goal or assist

Gakpo has hit a nice bit of form with seven goals in ten Premier League games, plus the strike against PSV in midweek.

He’ll be up against a right-back who isn’t really a right-back in Lewis Cook, so he won’t like the big Dutchman giving him the run about either.

Lewis Cook to commit at least one foul

Which leads us nicely into our next bet. Cook to commit at least one foul.

Cook has already served up more than one foul in his last four Premier League matches, more than two fouls would have landed in three of those games.

He’s already picked up 38 fouls this season, which is one away for his seasonal record of 39 in the 2023/24 campaign.

Antoine Semenyo to commit at least one foul

Continuing on the same lines of Bournemouth are not the friendly club we all believe, here’s another player who spends a lot of time chatting to the ref.

Antoine Semenyo has committed the most fouls of any Bournemouth player with 43.

Ink him in for another against Liverpool

Ryan Christie to be booked

The third ‘dirtiest’ player in the Bournemouth side, behind Semenyo and Cook, is Ryan Christie.

The Scotland international has already collected eight yellows this season, three of those in the last five games.

His odds are appealing to pick up another especially as he tries to get to grips with Liverpool’s speed of movement.

Christie and Cook both picked up yellows in the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield earlier in the season.
