  • Leeds United’S Search For A New Manager Continues As Patrick Vieira Emerges As A New Contender

Leeds United’s search for a new manager continues as Patrick Vieira emerges as a new contender

Patrick Vieira looks on against Bournemouth Dec 22

Leeds United are expected to decide on their new manager shortly with Daniel Farke and Scott Parker facing interviews

It has been over two weeks since Sam Allardyce left Leeds United following the club's relegation to the EFL Championship and a new manager is needed as soon as possible to begin the club's transfer activities.

Sky Sports reported that Patrick Vieira was being considered by the club, emerging as the latest contender for the Leeds United job.

The Athletic writer Phil Hay tweeted: "As yet, no approach to West Brom for permission to interview Corberan or discuss his release clause."
He also mentioned that Farke and Parker were two of the interviewees that could be taking place this week.
The club had been linked with Steven Gerrard and Brendan Rodgers in the last few weeks but both took opportunities elsewhere.
A common theme so far as the favourites for the role seem to change every week as the start of the new season edges closer.
The 49ers want to make sure they get the right person for the job, someone with experience in the Championship and the potential to do well in the Premier League.
They also appear to want someone who can attract quality players to the Championship and help convince some of their current stars to stay with the club.
However, the choices are minimal as reports suggested Rodgers did not want to manage in the Championship next season.
Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter has been one of the bookies' favourites to become the Leeds United manager but reports suggest he is also not willing to take a job in the second tier.
After their sackings this week both Darren Moore and Gary O'Neil have also emerged as some of the favourites for the job.
The most unusual favourite appears to be the Real Madrid legend Raúl González, better known as Raúl, who is the current manager of Real Madrid B.
