Leeds defender Max Wober makes Borussia Monchengladbach loan move
Leeds defender Max Wober has joined Borussia Monchengladbach on a season-long loan.
Borussia Monchengladbach have recruited Leeds defender Max Wober on a season-long loan.
The 25-year-old Austria international made 19 appearances in all competitions for Leeds last season after signing from RB Salzburg in January for a reported £10million.
The Sky Bet Championship club said: "Leeds United can confirm Max Wober has today joined Borussia Monchengladbach on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season. Everyone at the club wishes Max well for the future."
Wober is the third Leeds player to join a Bundesliga club on loan following relegation from the Premier League after Brendan Aaronson (Union Berlin) and Robin Koch (Eintracht Frankfurt).
Rasmus Kristensen (Roma) and Marc Roca (Real Betis) have completed season-long loan deals elsewhere, while Rodrigo, Joel Robles, Adam Forshaw and Tyler Roberts have also departed Elland Road this summer.
Leeds have signed Wales defender Ethan Ampadu from Chelsea for a reported £7m fee plus add-ons and goalkeeper Karl Darlow from Newcastle since Daniel Farke was appointed head coach earlier this month.
