Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool won't dip into January market despite recent struggles
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that the club will not do any last-minute transfer deals in January, despite troubling results.
The Reds were eliminated from the FA Cup by Brighton on Sunday, as the Seagulls pulled off a 2-1 win in the fourth-round clash at AMEX Stadium.
The disappointing result arrived in the wake of a goalless draw at home against Chelsea in the Premier League.
It was also the second defeat to Brighton this month, following Liverpool's shocking 3-0 loss in the league on 14 January.
With the Merseyside outfit now floundering down in ninth position in the Premier League standings, some have suggested that they could dip into the January transfer market to bolster their seemingly vulnerable squad.
However, Klopp has clarified that there are no plans to bring in fresh faces before the close of the window.
"No, no, nothing will happen in this transfer window," he told beIN Sports. "That's it, all good."
Liverpool will travel to Wolves on 4 February as they aim to bounce back from their run of underwhelming performances.
