Jadon Sancho now 'likely' to join Manchester United as deal nears completion

Jadon Sancho playing for Borussia Dortmund

A deal to take England ace Jadon Sanco to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund could be struck before the end of Euro 2020, Planet Sport have been told.

Jadon Sancho is odds on to move during the European Championship - despite the fact he is currently embedded with England's squad at St George's Park.

Manchester United are understood to be getting closer to securing a deal for the Borussia Dortmund winger, who they have been chasing for more than 12-months.

Last summer despite lengthy talks, United were unwilling to go above £100million for the 21-year-old.
Now, though, the Red Devils could land Sancho for substantially less with Dortmund ready to drop their asking price.

As it stands, Dortmund want around £85million and United's offer is in the region of £75million - so the two are not too far away, and sources close to the player have told Planet Sport that a deal is likely.

"It's a matter of when and not if"

When, though, is the deal likely? We have spoken to BoyleSports to get their view on the situation and offer us prices on when Sancho might move.

They make it 5/6 for Sancho to move during Euro 2020 before England have completed their campaign - that is a probability of around 55%.

And whilst the timing may not quite be known, there appears to be little doubt as to where he is going with Manchester United 1/7 to sign him during this transfer window - a probability of nearly 90%.

"There doesn't seem to be much of a gap this summer between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United, so we expect it's a matter of when and not if," BoyleSports spokesperson Lawrence Lyons exclusively told Planet Sport.

"It looks nailed on before the window closes at 1/7, but whether it gets done during the Euros is more of a 50-50 shot at this stage, and I'm sure Gareth Southgate would prefer him to focus on his international duties before the odds and ends are tied up."
