The pressure is mounting on Toffees manager Frank Lampard and that is reflected in the odds for the next Premier League manager to leave.

The former Chelsea boss is now just 5/1 with Planet Sport Bet to be the next manager out of the door following the Toffees' 1-0 defeat at home to Wolves on Sunday.

The Merseyside club have lost five of their six games under Lampard and only goal difference is keeping them out of the bottom three.

Everton do have games in hand on all the clubs below them but have picked up just nine points from a possible 60 since beating Norwich on September 25 - a win which lifted them to fifth.

The Toffees still have 12 games left to rescue their season and Lampard believes they have the quality within their ranks to stay up. However, there are already suggestions the ex-England midfielder may be replaced with someone more accustomed to fighting relegation battles. Sam Allardyce anyone?

That Lampard isn't even shorter odds to be the next Premier League manager to leave reflects the current uncertainty surrounding a handful of top-flight clubs.

Roy Hodgson is 7/2 to be the next in the long line of former Watford managers, while Antonio Conte's mood at Tottenham is as difficult to predict as their form - Conte is 10/1 to be the next manager to go.

The sanctions at Chelsea have thrown Thomas Tuchel's future at the club into disarray and have intensified talk of him switching to Manchester United. That has seen the German's odds slashed to 6/1 to be the next top-flight manager to leave.

Add in the usual suspects like Ralph Hasenhuttl (6/1, always 6/1) and Brendan Rodgers (8/1) who is walking a fine line between getting sacked and headhunted and the market is about as unpredictable as it has been all season.

Yet, despite all the ifs and maybes surrounding many of the Premier League's leading lights, Planet Sport Bet still believe the most likely scenario is the status quo remaining until the end of the season.

No manager to leave before the final match of the campaign is currently favourite at 5/2.
