FC Augsburg to sign Genoa forward Kelvin Yeboah on loan - report
FC Augsburg manager Stefan Reuter reportedly claimed at the club's New Year's reception that CFC Genoa striker Kelvin Yeboah is expected to be joining the Bundesliga side on loan.
The 22-year-old Yeboah has reportedly passed his medical and will be unveiled soon.
Yeboah was signed by Italian Serie B side Genoa in January 2022 having previously played for Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz.
The signing of Yeboah has a direct impact on veteran forward Florian Niederlechner's future at Augsburg.
The 32-year-old attacker was supposed to move to Hertha BSC in the summer but will now likely leave sooner seeing that Yeboah will be arriving.
"I can confirm that Florian will continue his career at Hertha BSC at the end of his contract," Ingo Haspel, consultant to Niederlechner, told TV channel Sky.
