Everton could sign 24-year-old international with 48 goal involvements

Brandon Vazquez playing for FC Cincinnati April 2023

Everton could sign striker Brandon Vazquez to provide depth and competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to reports.

Everton may have their eyes set on 6ft 1 striker Brandon Vazquez to provide depth and competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to reports.

Sean Dyche is looking to bolster Everton's limp attack in the summer transfer window and The Athletic are reporting they're keeping a close eye on Brandon Vazquez.

Everton scored less than a goal per game in the Premier League despite finishing with a flurry.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has missed 48 matches due to injury since the start of the 2021/22 season.
Vazquez, 24, currently plays for FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer and registered 18 goals and seven assists last season.
It was the first time Vazquez has made more than 10 starts in his fledgling career. Despite that, he averages a goal involvement every 143 minutes.

Vazquez signed a contract extension in August 2022 which could keep him at the club for the duration of the 2024 season.

Five months later, he made his USA debut and headed their only goal of the game against Serbia.

Hoffenheim and Borussia Monchengladbach both hold an interest in the American starlet, while Chivas of Mexico saw a $7 million bid rejected.
FC Cincinnati are going well but the lure of the Premier League and a healthy financial package would surely make Everton his preferred destination.
Any potential deal could see Vazquez remain in Cincinnati until the winter window.
