Chelsea vs Manchester United tips: Score draw on the cards at Stamford Bridge

Erik ten Hag manager of Manchester United

It’s a quick turnaround for both Chelsea and Manchester United with just two days rest, as the cramped Premier League schedule takes full effect.

Both teams were in action on Wednesday night with United seeing off Spurs at Old Trafford, while Chelsea struggled in a goalless draw at Brentford.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter is likely to benefit from more options at Stamford Bridge, while Erik ten Hag does not have too many players he can bring into his side.

Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were both on the bench for Chelsea, while Thiago Silva was an unused sub.

Mateo Kovacic will likely replace the injured Conor Gallacher and Ben Chilwell could be recalled after a midweek rest.

But while Potter can freshen up his side, Ten Hag's hands look tied and the Cristiano Ronaldo situation won't be helping.

Ronaldo was been dropped from the squad for Saturday's game after refusing to go on as a substitute during the win over Antonio Conte's side.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial are all missing. Christian Eriksen did return from the bench, but Fred put in a sterling performance and is likely to keep his place.
It could well be that Ten Hag goes with the same side that, according to the Dutchman, put in their best performance of the season. And United have had some good ones so far, beating Liverpool and Arsenal on home soil.
It's their away form that has faltered and that is one reason why supporting them in the capital at a best-priced 13/5 looks the wrong call.
Narrow wins over Leicester, Southampton and Everton are not the basis of a punt on them at Stamford Bridge.
They capitulated in defeat at Brentford, while Man City stuck six past them at The Etihad.
Ten Hag highlighted their impressive pressing against Spurs and their front three of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho should stop Chelsea playing out easily from the back.
The Blues had won Potter's first three Premier League games at the helm before the draw at Brentford in which they were once again indebted to Kepa Arrizabalaga.
They now have three clean sheets on the spin and have won their last three at home against Wolves, West Ham and Leicester.
Potter's team have yet to show any real attacking prowess, but they are adaptable and able to switch their shape easily.
Whether they will need to do that against United is unclear, but neither team has had the upper hand in recent seasons. The last four games between the pair have ended all square, while both of last season's results were 1-1.
These two sides look well matched and have scored the same number of goals (15) and another draw is the most likely outcome once again.
