Bayern Munich in crisis? Sadio Mane allegedly attacked teammate following Man City drubbing
Bayern Munich stars Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane became embroiled in a physical altercation according to German news outlet BILD.
The Bavarians endured a disappointing night on Tuesday as they fell to a 3-0 defeat away at Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
Goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland sealed an emphatic win for the Premier League outfit who are still on the lookout for a maiden Champions League crown.
Bayern not only face a herculean task in the second leg, but it now appears they may have bigger problems within their own squad.
According to BILD, former Liverpool forward Mane had an altercation with teammate Sane following the defeat.
Both men had an argument in the 83rd minute of the match as Mane ran into space in anticipation of a through ball, rather than coming closer to receive a short pass.
Per the report, that moment is said to have triggered the argument, with Mane allegedly taking issue with the way Sane spoke to him on the field.
Following the full-time whistle, both men allegedly came together in an altercation which left marks on Sane's face.
The report also states that the alleged fight came to an end after the two men were separated by their teammates, with Sane having to be sent out of the dressing room to calm down.
The former Man City man is said to have left Munich airport via a side exit with a busted lip, while Mane made his way through the airport.
Bayern Munich are yet to comment on the story.
Thomas Tuchel, who replaced Julian Nagelsmann in the managerial hotseat just three weeks ago, is already facing a huge challenge at the Allianz Arena.
The former Chelsea boss kicked off his reign with a 4-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund to take control of the title race.
Since then, his men suffered back-to-back defeats - including one in the DFB Pokal which quashed their hopes of a potential treble winning season.
