Andoni Iraola unfazed by reported Spurs target Dominic Solanke's injury
Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola says Dominic Solanke's injury is only a minor one as speculation increases around his future.
Solanke missed Sunday's 1-0 friendly win over Rayo Vallecano with a minor foot issue, which has followed speculation over whether Tottenham will bid for the forward.
Spurs are on the hunt for a new attacker and Bournemouth owner Bill Foley confirmed last week that Solanke's current deal until 2027 includes a release clause in the region of £65million.
"Dom came and we decided it doesn't make any sense to risk in a friendly, but it's not a big injury," Iraola told Sky Sports.
"Zaba (Illia Zabarnyi) stomped on his foot yesterday. I hope he is going to play the next game against Girona.
"Yeah, nothing big. Just he couldn't put the boots on."
Solanke signed a new contract at Bournemouth in September, which included the aforementioned release clause but Tottenham could try to strike a player-plus-cash deal, the PA news agency understands.
Bournemouth have previously held an interest in Spurs midfielder Oliver Skipp, although are now well stocked in that area and considered a loan bid for young forward Alejo Veliz in January.
However, the Cherries are ready to hold out until Solanke's release clause is met.
