Where next for Jack Grealish: Man City? Man Utd? Arsenal? PSG?

Jack Grealish

After an impressive season and a Euros in which he was name on everybody's lips, attention now turns to where Jack Grealish will be playing next season.

Players usually enhance their reputations by playing well in international tournaments but for Jack Grealish, playing very little part has seen his stock soar.

Would England have beaten Italy if they'd employed Grealish a little earlier? We'll never know. But for a player who boasted 19 goal contributions during the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, the end of the Euros mean rather than discussing if Grealish should play, we'll now be speculating as to where.

The midfielder is said to interesting a number of Premier League clubs, with Manchester City keenest, while Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be in the mix.

Planet Sport looks at the leading contenders to land the Aston Villa midfielder.

Manchester City

It has been reported that the Blue side of Manchester are ready to submit a hefty bid for midfielder, rumoured to be around £90million.

Aston Villa are open to negotiations at that price and Grealish would jump at the chance to join a team who are attacking silverware on all fronts.

City are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements and with Pep Guardiola also targeting a new striker, with Erling Haaland and Harry Kane both linked, it promises to be a mouthwatering prospect for Grealish.

Grealish's ability to drift in off the flanks could see him as a worthy successor to Raheem Sterling who despite a stellar Euros was a fringe player for City for much of last season. The chance to link up with with England team-mate Phil Foden would also hold plenty of appeal and might even be a chance to show Gareth Southgate what the two of them could have done in tandem, had they been given the opportunity.

Manchester United

On the other side of Manchester, the Red Devils are looking to hijack their rivals' bid for the playmaker.

Last season, Old Trafford was thought to be the number one destination for the midfielder. But, after failing to land him in 2020, they are back in the mix again.

Pace and creativity are clearly high on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's wish list, with Jadon Sancho on the verge of a switch to United.

Grealish is thought to have been leaning more towards a move to United over City last summer but it may be a question of finances. Have United got the clout to compete with the likes of City and PSG if it comes to a bidding war?

Chelsea

After a terrific Champions League-winning campaign, what else do Chelsea need to do to persuade Grealish to succumb to the lure of London?

With Christian Pulisic a seemingly fragile choice to carry the creative hopes of a team, Thomas Tuchel is looking to bring Grealish to Stamford Bridge, with a little help from Mason Mount.

While on England duty, the two midfielders grew close, with reports suggesting Mount has been getting in Grealish's ear about a move to Stamford Bridge.

Also in the running for Haaland, adding Grealish would ensure the momentum from the Champions League success is not squandered.

Arsenal

The Gunners have always had their eye on Grealish, and this summer may be the right time to pounce for the 25-year-old.

Mikel Arteta's side have come off a disappointing Premier League by their standards and the under-pressure young manager needs to undertake a radical overhaul if the Gunners are to restore themselves to the top table.

The north London side have been heavily linked with James Maddison and Ben White, as well as Grealish and with Granit Xhaka looking to depart, the Gunners need a midfield replacement.

However, while the Emirates may be Grealish's favourite Premier League stadium, would he really want to swap Villa for a side that only finished six points above them in 2020/21?

Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp's side failed miserably in their Premier League defence, with only a late rally salvaging a Champions League spot.

And, with Georginio Wijnaldum having departed Merseyside, Klopp needs a burst of new energy in hs engine room.

Grealish will relish the chance to link up with Mo Salah, while there will be a familiar face alongside him in Jordan Henderson to ensure a smooth transition at Anfield.

However, Klopp is thought to have reservations about Grealish's character off the pitch.

Paris Saint-Germain

They've got the money to land Grealish and they've got a manager in Mauricio Pochettino who is clearly a fan having been linked with the England midfielder while boss of Tottenham.

However, quite clearly a bit of a home boy, would Grealish want to up sticks from his Midlands roots and move all the way to another country?
We can't see it.
