AZTEC SUN (1) is back at the races for the first time since July 28. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Ruidoso Downs. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. HAM SANDWICH (6) finished fourth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5f at this track, beaten 5 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Has the talent to take care of this field. TIME TRAVELIN (9) was quickly into stride and went on to score by 2.5 lengths last time out over 6f at this track (Dirt). Tricky draw to overcome but does have good gate speed. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. COMFORT J BYRD (7) finished second last time over 6f at this track (Dirt), beaten 0.1 lengths. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping.
