RIGHTEOUS (12) stepped out on his debut over 1m at Bendigo two-and-a-half weeks ago and finished fifth, beaten 1.3 lengths. Capable of sharp improvement. PURE POWER (7) finished second over 1m1 3/4f at this track in a then missed the frame last time out over 1m2f at Pakenham. Will drift back but wind up late. Nicely placed to open his account. MICK DUNDEEL (6) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 1.3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m1 1/2f at Kyneton. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to take this out. MR ZED (2) ran a better race last start at his second appearance, finishing third over 1m at Moe. Progressing well and is among the chances.
