POINT AND SHOOT (12) ran on strongly only to just miss as favourite last start over 5½f at Randwick. Should be near his peak for this. Nicely placed to play a major role. IMPOSANT (10) did her best work late and got up for second when resuming over this trip at Randwick last start. Expected to prove tough to hold out again. BARTOLF (11) was a dominant winner last time over 6¼f at Beaumont (Newcastle), getting home by 2.5 lengths. One of the main contenders again. HEADLEY GRANGE (3) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6½f at Randwick, beaten 0.6 lengths. Must raise the bar but a win is not out of the question.
