SMOTHER (7) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at this track over 5½f, beaten 0.7 lengths. Much better for that run and can get off the mark this time. PROVISEUR (6) stepped out on his debut over 6¼f at Canterbury two-and-a-half weeks ago and finished sixth, beaten 2.75 lengths. Likely improver and can get off the mark this time. NOW IS THE HOUR (3) has not raced since his debut on July 17 over 5½f at Randwick Kensington when he finished fifth, beaten 4 lengths. Better for that run and can improve sharply. HURRY MISS (10) resuming after three-and-a-half months break and was in the money at only start before another lay-off. Fitter for recent trials and should be in the mix fresh.
