DIAMOND WAR (7) did his best work late and finished 1.75 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 7f at Werribee, an improvement on his sixth at Geelong the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. HELLOFASTORM (6) started this campaign with a win two runs ago. Not as effective last time out when ninth over 6f at Terang, beaten 9 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. HONOUR DE HERO (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Stawell, beaten 3 lengths into fourth after being in contention on the bend. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. LUCKY COMPASS (5) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by 0.8 lengths over 7f80yards at Kyneton. Solid top-three prospects.
