SPECULA (8) was in the firing line all the way and fought on for second last start over 4¾f at Moree, making it two minor placings in a row. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. THE CURVES GIRL (11) is a three-start maiden who finished ninth at her most recent appearance over 7f at Orange. Looks to be in the right race to play a big role. UFANA (12) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when she was beaten 6 lengths into eighth over 5f at Queanbeyan. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time.
