TRIED AND TRUE (5) has returned in good shape this campaign. Opened with a second at Greyville All Weather two starts back then got the job done by 1.5 lengths last time out over 7f at Vaal. It doesn't get any easier but on current form she is one of the key runners. FIREBURST (6) was safely held when sixth last time out over 1m at Turffontein Inside, beaten 5.5 lengths. That followed a win at Turffontein Inside at the previous outing. Gavin Lerena gets the best out of this three-year-old filly. Steps up a level but she is capable of running a bold race. KURAMATHI (7) scored a commanding victory at Turffontein Inside over 1m at her latest appearance on September 7. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. PRETTY ANALIA (8) finished fifth two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 7¼f at Turffontein Inside, beaten only one length. Looks to be in the right race so she should be in contention again.
