SLINKY MAPIMPI (4) saluted at the first run back from a lay-off last start over 7¼f at Turffontein Inside, scoring by a neck. Has been given a let-up of six weeks since that outing. Open to plenty of improvement and happy to have him on top. EDWARD RYE (8) is back from a year lay-off and he does run well when resuming, including a win over 5¾f at this track at the start of last prep. Will be hard to stop. SILVER TUDOR (5) resumes in a similar race to his last run five-and-a-half months ago when fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Looks a strong top-three prospect. PAISLEY PARK (3) is fitter for two runs back from a lay-off, progressing nicely last time to finish fourth, beaten 1.75 lengths, at Vaal over 6f. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Sure to be thereabouts.
