OBSESSIVE MAID (5) accounted for a maiden field over 1m at Colac last start, finishing a nose ahead of the nearest rival. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Capable of making it two on the trot. RYLSTONE (11) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Healesville, beaten 8 lengths. Meets a stronger field but he is fitter and worth serious consideration. WARLIST (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was never in contention over 1m at Colac, beaten 3.5 lengths into seventh. Faces an easier assignment so he is a major player. GRAND ILLUSION (6) was below his best last time, finishing ninth and beaten 5.5 lengths over 1m1 3/4f at Yarra Valley. Finds a nice race and can atone.
