NEWS AWARD (10) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 1.3 lengths from the winner in third over 6f at Great Western. Big chance based on that effort. VILLA ROYALE (13) drifted well back then came with a powerful run to finish 2 lengths from the winner in third when resuming last start over 5f122yards at Benalla. Well placed to feature again. FIVE STAR KING (3) finished third, beaten 2.75 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Sale. Placed to advantage and can take this out. SUSTEREN (11) is a three-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 5 lengths when fifth over 5f124yards at Werribee. Should settle handy in the run. One of the better hopes.
