BETTER EXPLAIN (5) got the prize two runs ago at Muswellbrook. Couldn't follow that up last time out when eighth over 1m1f at Port Macquarie, beaten 7 lengths. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task. ROSSY'S TYPA GIRL (6) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fifth, beaten 5 lengths, over 7½f at Port Macquarie after she travelled towards the rear of the field. Will strip fitter and is among the main hopes. SUBUKI (15) was given time to settle from an outside draw last time then wound up strongly in the straight for an eye-catching third over 1m1f at Port Macquarie. Can figure in the finish again. THE YOUNG YEARS (11) finished second at Tuncurry two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 7½f at Rosehill, finishing 3.5 lengths back in eighth. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
