OPEN PEARLY GATES (1) wasn't far away on debut last start over 6½f at Dubbo, finishing second and beaten a neck. Has ability and looks sure to measure up. BONDING (5) went forward when resuming last start over 6f87yards at Muswellbrook and held on well for second, beaten 0.9 lengths. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is right in contention. CATS QUARTERS (6) is a 19-start maiden who finished seventh at her most recent appearance over 7¼f at Kempsey. Solid top-three chance on her best figures. POINT TO PROVE (2) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 6 lengths back in fifth over 1m1 1/2f at Kempsey. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
