CRESSBROOK (6) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 5½f at Gatton, getting home by a neck. Winning rider Jace Mcmurray retains the mount. Meets some better types this time but another big run will not surprise. RIVER RIBBLE (3) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Gillian Heinrich barn. Hasn't raced since finishing in the placings at Ballarat Synthetic 20 months ago. Placed in a recent trial and goes well fresh from a lay-off, filling a placing three times from four runs. Leading prospect. MERCIAN (12) is racing well, scoring in a at this track before finishing a long neck from the winner in second last time over 5f at this track. Drawn to stalk the leaders. Winning claims on best figures. HAMILTON BROWN (13) resumed last start over 6f at Gold Coast Poly and showed little early speed, settling well back but hitting the line hard to finish third, beaten 5 lengths. Has a decent record at this trip with four minor placings from five tries and should be in the finish.
