CHAKADO (3) showed good early speed last start before boxing on well and finishing third, beaten 2 lengths, over this trip at Bendigo. Hard to beat in this suitable race. STEEL IMPACT (15) broke her maiden last start over 1m at Moe, scoring by 3.5 lengths. Nicely placed to double the win tally. THE OLD LION (14) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Geelong but raced below expectations last time over 1m2f at Mornington, finishing eighth and beaten 28 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. SETTAT (7) was unwanted in betting last start but performed beyond expectations when beaten a head into third over 7f131yards at Geelong. Drawn out but does go back and work into his races.
