DEMIQUAVER (12) returns from a lay-off of six months and is having her first run for a new yard. Finished sixth at Caulfield Heath over 5f when when resuming last time in work. Can make an immediate impact for the new mentor. NEW YORK STAR (5) started at big odds on debut last start but ran a bold race, finishing second and beaten 2.5 lengths over 5f at this track. Can get off the mark this time. EXUMA (11) has not raced since his debut back on May 17 when he finished eighth over 5f at Cranbourne. Should be thereabouts. ECHELON (10) stepped out for the first time last start and was just fair in finishing seventh at Bendigo over 5½f, beaten 5.5 lengths. Looks well placed here and has to be respected.
