TESORO (3) was thereabouts last time out when fourth over 5½f at Pleasanton (Dirt) after he was prominent throughout. Boasts three wins at this distance. Capable of taking this out. NOLDE (1) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Pleasanton (Dirt) with success over 1m1f at Pleasanton (Dirt) four weeks ago, getting home by 3.5 lengths after being in contention on the turn. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is good enough to cope. BROTHER O' BRIEN (6) reunites with F Alvarado after scoring with ease over 1m1/4f at Pleasanton (Dirt) last time. Should camp just off the leaders. Will be in this for a long way. ITS THIEVERY (7) was safely held when third last time out over 1m1/2f at Pleasanton, beaten 5 lengths, after a win at Pleasanton at the previous outing. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
