KODIAK BEAR (5) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m4f at Caulfield, beaten 3 lengths into fourth after being in the firing line on the corner. Will enjoy a drop in class so he will be hard to beat. FAM GORMAN (3) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fifth, beaten 5 lengths, over 1m1f at Sandown-Hillside. Outdashed but got home well and appears suited by the longer journey. Hard to hold out. TORRANZINO (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was never in contention over 1m2f at Mildura, beaten 4 lengths into sixth. Finds a more suitable contest and can take this out. NORTHERN BARRAGE (7) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a eighth over 1m2 1/2f at this track. Worth noting Ethan Brown goes aboard. Best figures measure up nicely. Can do a lot better.
